Hydropave Erosion Control Systems are both laboratory and field proven products since 1983. With millions of square feet of the Conlock I & II systems installed in North America, our systems continue to provide economy, aesthetics and hydraulic function for specifiers and end users alike.

The Hydropave systems are comprised of precast, positive interlocking articulating concrete blocks used in conjunction with a geotextile fabric underlayment. This composite structure endows the project owner, designer and contractor with successful working solutions to revetment erosion control problems.

Conlock Articulating Concrete Blocks (ACBs) are available in cabled mattress forms for submerged water placements and non-cabled hand placed systems for dry or dewatered placements. Each system accommodates the designer with a project specific product, granting the most cost effective and functional option to the owner.

The Conlock I & II products articulate and are effective in conforming to varying grade contours. The Conlock system provides a dynamic interactive layer of interlocking blocks that attenuates with sub soil expansion and contraction as well as freeze thaw heaving. Unit to unit articulation results in minimum maintenance and an extended product service life.

HYDROPAVE Erosion Control Systems consist of 20 different block classes that can be produced with or without cellular open areas. This broad product availability provides the designer with tools to control the hydraulic variables such as the roughness coefficient, surface permeability and hydraulic stability. Aesthetically, the designer is capable of administering the project1s finished visual impact ranging from the look of concrete, to tinted concrete or total vegetative cover.

Structural revetment systems exhibiting vegetative growth and habitat for animal life are now ecologically favorable. Hydropave Erosion Control Systems surface open areas can be varied from to 2% to the industry's highest of 30%. Success of the bio-stabilization effort is centered on practicing common sense approaches to block selection, site geology, plant species and hydrology. A systems approach, where all components are considered, insures that the finished product provides habitat and is environmentally friendly.

Unlike conventional rock riprap, the Conlock systems are planar in profile and provide a safe and accessible platform for maintenance vehicles and pedestrians.

Installation rates will vary contingent on block system selection, accessibility and site geometry. For large scale projects that are linear in configuration, cable mattresses can be installed from 5000 to 20000 square feet per day. For more geometrically complex projects, non-cabled systems can be installed form 2500 to 5000 square feet per day. The Conlock II hand-placed system can be installed at rates up to 90 S.F./ Man-hour. HydroPave's experienced staff and contractor base can assist in preliminary installation cost and installation rates.

HydroPave manufacturing facilities are available throughout the United States. The product can be produced locally at rates up to 40000 units per day and can be delivered by truck or barge on pallets or as prefabricated mattresses. Product class availability is subject to regional manufacturing capabilities. Call your local HydroPave Service Center for product availability.

HydroPave's CONLOCK ®I

HydroPave's CONLOCK® I system provides an economical and high performance mattress system due to its single cable design. The individual units interlocked within the mattress give unequaled structural integrity.

HydroPave's CONLOCK ®II

HydroPave's CONLOCK® II offers high hydraulic permissible shear resistance, significant savings in installation cost due to it's expanded unit coverage, high vegetative open area and omni-directional flexibility.
